According to the notice of the China Building Materials Market Association on approving the "Building System Doors and Windows Performance Evaluation Standards" group standard project, the National Building Materials Exhibition and Trade Center and the National Materials (Beijing) Testing and Certification Service Co., Ltd. are responsible for organizing the "Building System Doors and Windows Performance Evaluation Standards" group The preparation of the standard starts and ends from June 2020 to June 2021.

According to the data, the energy loss of buildings through doors and windows accounts for 48.7% of the energy loss of the envelope structure. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the performance and quality of doors and windows. The doors and windows used in buildings are often multiple series of doors and windows with the same or similar properties, structures, different sizes, and different opening forms. However, our country still represents the performance of all door and window series by testing standard windows of the same size, and the testing agency is only responsible for the standard samples submitted for inspection. Obviously, this kind of door and window management system cannot guarantee that users can obtain doors and windows that meet their performance requirements. More importantly, doors and windows also involve profile section design, door and window facade design, hardware, accessories, sealing tape and glass matching design, as well as door and window manufacturing, installation and many other technologies. Therefore, although the best materials are selected, due to the lack of scientific system research and development, and the improper matching of various links, the combined doors and windows cannot achieve the best results. Therefore, we say that door and window technology is a system technology. Only when a complete system is developed and established can we design and manufacture fully qualified doors and windows.

Guide and promote door and window system suppliers to actively develop door and window systems suitable for the company’s target market and product positioning. Door and window manufacturers strictly follow the requirements of the door and window system developed to complete the engineering design, manufacture and installation of doors and windows, and achieve the promised quality and Performance indicators; provide users with the basis and methods for correct application of system doors and windows. Thereby comprehensively improving the quality level of China's building doors and windows projects.

The performance evaluation of building system doors and windows will have a profound impact on the healthy development of China's building door and window industry and its compliance with the standards of developed countries, providing a basis for production and sales.
