Sustainable development is the common vision of mankind, digitization is the trend of the times, how standardization can better promote sustainable development, how standardization can better adapt to the trend of digitization, is placed in front of the standardization workers a topic of the times. On October 14, the state administration of Market Supervision held the 2022 World Standards Day event, and experts from industry departments, local governments, standardization institutes and innovative enterprises, the World Standards Day focused on the international and Chinese themes and the implementation of the National Development Programme on standardisation, and provided suggestions and suggestions for the high-quality development of standardisation. 

The Chinese theme for this year's World Standards Day is “Standardization in the digital age”, a theme that coincides with the accelerating development of our digital economy. Some suggestions are put forward here: first, we should increase the support to the basic work of standard digitalization. At present, some scientific research institutions and enterprises are trying to explore, but they are weak, difficult to work, slow progress. It is suggested that the state should increase support from the aspects of policy preference, resource pooling and platform building. Second, strengthen the overall coordination of standards digitization work. To build a number of professional areas for the standard machine readable cloud platform, such as machinery, electronics, biology, chemicals, metallurgy, construction and other industries of the standard digital platform. Third, the establishment of mechanisms to achieve resource sharing, sharing. At present, most of the research and practice of standard digitization revolve around their own business fields, and there is duplication of work in the process of standard digitization in different enterprises and industries. It is suggested that the research results of various industries and enterprises should be co-ordinated, and mechanisms and platforms should be set up to realize sharing and sharing.
Fourth, further improve the standard of intellectual property-related policies and regulations. As the ownership and identification of copyright and intellectual property rights become more complex, which leads to the problems of legality of use and security of access. It is suggested that we should clarify the standard and the regulation of digital intellectual property from the aspects of laws, regulations and policies, so as to protect the interests of the intellectual property rights holders effectively and to guarantee the legality of the standard digitization. Fifth, the standard digitization pilot should be progressive, not rush to the top, to do a good job in the premise of the pilot, and then widely promoted. The last piece of advice is to train people. It is necessary to train multi-talented people who understand standard-setting rules, professional technology, machine-readable technology and foreign languages, so as to ensure the long-term sustainable development of digital technology.
