Recently, Tianjin Municipal People's Government issued "Tianjin Carbon Peak Implementation Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). The plan calls for national targets for energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP to be met by 2025. The proportion of non-fossil energy consumption should be above 11.7%.


By 2030, energy consumption per unit of GDP will drop significantly, and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP will drop by at least 65 percent from the 2005 level. We will strive to increase the share of non-fossil energy consumption to over 16%, and reach the carbon peak target by 2030 as scheduled.


"Scheme" focus on top ten carbon reduction action: green low carbon energy transformation action, energy saving carbon reduction efficiency, industrial field operations, urban and rural construction of carbon carbon of peak action, transportation, green low carbon, and carbon sequestration ability strengthen promotion action power carbon reduction, circular economy, green low carbon technology innovation action, green low carbon national action, pilot in order to promote carbon up to the peak.


At the same time, the plan proposes to strengthen regional exchanges and cooperation between Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, promote green "Belt and Road" construction, carry out international green economic and trade cooperation, deepen participation in international cooperation in green finance, and help achieve the goal of carbon peak.
