The two standards, which took four years to compile, were presided over by experts organized by China Railway Group and participated by more than 20 experts from more than 10 countries including France, Germany, Japan, Spain and Italy.

On the basis of summarizing the successful design experience of high-speed railway in the world and advanced system integration technology, the two "standards" introduce the overall design concept of China's high-speed railway and absorb the basic key indicators of China's high-speed railway such as train load schema, line spacing, subgrade filling classification and tunnel surrounding rock classification. To introduce China's CRTSIII plat-type ballastless track, EMU repair process, catenary system and other superior technologies, Finally established the international union of railway high speed railway subgrade, the overall design, route, bridge, tunnel, rail, station, motor train-set repair facilities, maintenance facilities, comprehensive protection, environmental protection, traction substation and catenary, the power supply and distribution, and remote systems in areas such as design idea, the key parameters and technical requirements. It has contributed Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the construction and operation of high-speed railways around the world.

China has filled in international gaps in 11 systems-level standards for high-speed rail

By the end of 2021, the length of China's high-speed railways in operation exceeded 40,000 km, accounting for more than two-thirds of the world's total.
