In order to implement the National Development Program of standardization and strengthen the support of standards for trade facilitation, the General Administration of Market Supervision (SMC) organized an online meeting on the demand research of Chinese standards in foreign languages from June 21 to 22. Representatives from 39 large-scale enterprises in the fields of petroleum, metallurgy, construction, electric power, railway, communication and so on attended the meeting. It was suggested that the development and release of Chinese standards in foreign languages could effectively support international production capacity and equipment manufacturing cooperation, meet the needs of enterprises, promote trade facilitation and smooth implementation of overseas engineering projects. The participants said that the conference was highly targeted and helped to give full feedback on the urgent need for standard foreign language versions in overseas projects and trade exchanges, in the future, under the leadership of the General Administration of Market Supervision (SMC) , we will work together to improve the mechanism and enhance the effectiveness of our work.
